We came into work today to find the project we’ve been working on for a good while exploded while we were away. Everything was broken. After many hours of swearing and trial and error, we were still totally bifjangled by the problem.
Lucky for us, yours truly recently setup a CVS Server for the project. I went through the list of recent changes a couple times before I finally spotted the problem. The moral of the story is, the bug hunt lasted a whole day, but could have been much shorter had I pulled up the CVS log sooner. Never forget how awesome and helful your CVS server really is. If you’re not developing on cvs, even if you’re just doing vanilla HTML, get one now. You will not regret it.
