As a web developer, I’m constantly impressed by how HORRIBLE Microsoft’s Internet Explorer. Most projects require a developer to make the site work, then make it work in IE. It’s a huge pain in the butt. This site, for example, looks much much better in a good browser like Mozilla Firefox. Without much extra work from me, it does nice things like colors links that will open in a new window a different color. Oh, and the sidebar works. I haven’t quite nailed down why it’s all messed up in IE. Admitedly, I haven’t spend a lot of time on it, but I really shouldn’t have to. Every other browser shows it just fine. Netscape, Opera, Safari, Firefox, Mozilla, you name it. It really is a shame. Also, lets not forget about security. Those of you who are constantly plagued with spyware and other nastyware can often point the blame squarely at IE.

So the moral of the story is GET FIREFOX. It really is worth the download. Install it and never use IE again. I promise you, if you give it a chance, you’ll like it better.
