The good people over at Google never cease to amaze me. For a good bit of time, I’ve been enjoying the Google custom homepage. I just today noticed a major improvement and it’s got everything I wanted and then some.
For those of you who are not familiar with this feature, you can check it out here (www.google.com/ig). Basically its the just the good ol’ google search page with a ton of info below it. The really cool part is, its all info that you want. You can supply a link to any RSS or Atom feed, you can create a section that has links to sites that you visit frequently. Plus, there are some other nice features like weather, news, directions, and movie times all available right there.
There is something to be said about the simplicity of the standard Google home page, but for all those people who use Google as their home page, this is a welcome addition. And the standard site is still right there if you don’t prefer the new version.
