I had my Fossil watch for two years now and a few weeks ago a link actually broke. I wasn't aware of how long the warranty was and what it covered but I would pay whatever I had to because the watch was a gift. I took it to the Fossil store and they said they'd send it out to Metro Service and it would be $30-$40. I look online and indeed the warranty is eleven years and isn't supposed to cover bands, links, and batteries. After a few weeks I got the watch back and the entire band was replaced for free, all I had to pay was $8.50 for shipping.

Most vendors are easy to deal with and accommodating with the customers. Fossil watches are definitely my favorite because they are relatively inexpensive and the customer service I never had a problem with. Good luck with the repairs.

I purchased a Fossil watch 2 years ago and now the leather band is broken. I have the same issue as a lot of the people on this blog in the fact that I can't buy a band because no one has one specific to this type of watch. Same problem I had with a Guess watch 5 years ago. Bottom line is I will never buy a Fossil, DKNY, Guess or Nixon watch ever again unless they have replacement bands at the same store.
Timex here I come.

[Model FS4611: Dean Chronograph Silicone White Dial Watch.]

Fantastic watch, Gives a Beastly look and still classy and elegant, can wear formally or casually always at its best. Proud to wear it, worth buying.
only 1 complaint its not regarding this particular watch … its for all FOSSIL watches having FOSSIL logo written horizontally just before number 3, We are not able to see FOSSIL logo when the Minute or Hour hands points toward 3 (three) as the FOSSIL logo hide underneath the minute/Hour hands.

I received a fossil watch on my birthday, and not even four months later the time adjusting knob fell off. I sent it in and they took 8 weeks to send it back saying they no longer make the parts for my watch. WTF! It was brand new!! I call the Metro service place and Spoke with a lady who seemed like she didnt know what the heck she was doing. I told her the situation and she said for me to buy a new watch.... Umm really... Would you throw away a gift that means alot to you? I didnt think so. I wouldnt recommend purchasing anything from this company! They seem very unprofessional and there product isnt worth the money.

I sent a watch in .. had to pay 8.50 shipping, and that might seem like a deal, the shipping was the only thing they did to my watch. The internal movement is jammed, and the condition of the watch is identical to when I sent it in. Fossil does not return email or phone calls about this, customer service gives me the run around, and I have no inclination to mail it in for another 6-8 weeks for them to not fix it.

The slip on my watch indicating who performed the repairs said "John S" and the "Quality control" part of that slip was BLANK. Nobody bothered to look to see if "John S" had even touched my watch -- he didn't. But I'm sure he met his quota for the day.

My wife watch has a broken band.We went back to the store 2 months after purchase to be told to send it in ourselves. The repair is 70$ and there is no warranty on the band.I called the service centre and they did not want to do anything for me even if the watch was purchase only 2 months ago.

The service sucks and the company doesn't care about there consumer.

I hope that my comment cost them more then the 70$ they want to charge me. Don't buy Fossil products

I bought a nice Fossil watch at a yard sale for just 5 bucks, but it had a dead battery.Took it to a watch shop, the guy opens it up and finds it has THREE batteries! It would cost me $30.00 to put batteries in my 5 dollar watch! Who ever heard of a watch that takes 3 batteries!

My Fossil (FS 4249) was sent in for repair do to water inside the crystal on 6/30/10.
I received the watch back on 8/2. Watch is less than a year old.
When first returned from Metro Service Center watch was:
1.	Not running nor would the watch run.
2.	The stop watch would not run and top sweep would not return to home position
3.	The adjustment pin for the second hand and date came out easily.

I returned the watch again for repairs on 8/3.
Received the watch back on 8/27. The watch now works correctly except the chronograph is still not working correctly.
1.	The top second chronograph hand works correctly.
2.	The Bottom hand still does not return to “0”.
3.	The left dial does not work at all.

When the watch was sent to Metro the first time it ran great except it had water inside the crystal.

I’m very disappointed with the outcome especially since this will be the third time I will be sending it back. I’m not trying to be rude but the quality sign off tags sent back with the watch are a joke since no one seems to be checking these watches before they leave.

I would like a voucher to get a new watch or my watch replaced with a new one…not a repaired one. This is the third time they have tried to repair this watch and I have no confidence that the repairs can be made.

I discussed these issues with Dora (Metro Service Center) and she was great. She said that I would get a NEW watch if you felt my watch could not be repaired and run like new. We will see.
